Gemstone crosses were ever popular during the Regency, as can been seen from the Austen quote and her necklace which is on display at Chawton Cottage.  This yellow CZ crystal cross measures just .75" tall; arrives with an 18" gold tone chain reminds me of the type worn by the Austen sisters (see third image).
