A Balloon (or Lunardi) hat, this style was debuted in 1784 to commemorate Vicenzo Lunardi's flight in a hot air balloon. My "Emma" was inspired by Kate Beckensdale's "Emma" and features an oversized crown encircled with ribbon. A bow anchors two feathers (your choice) across the front. The hat base I am currently using features a decorative braided edge (see additional images for a close up of the style. Hat measures 16" across.
