These bonnets are such fun to trim and would be great for any Dickens/Christmas activities you might have planned. The wide brim was popular during the late Regency (see the drawing by Ingres, 1823) and early Victorian era (think A Christmas Carol, published in 1843, which is the inspiration for many caroling ensembles and Dickens Fairs.)
NOTE: The Current brown bonnet has a lighter ribbon than the one shown in the first image. It is the same color as the brown felt (see trimmed image to see accurate color of ribbon ties and trim)
