During Austen's time, the heavy 5-pound church key was kept hidden inside a hollow or hole in the tree trunk.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese flat wooden ornaments feature a hand painted image of the St. Nicholas church where Jane grew up (and famously recorded imaginary weddings in the registry). Created by a local artist, they are signed, and limited in number.
