Austentation's 3-in-1 Reticule Pattern
Reticules are relatively easy to create and require only a small amount of fabric making them the perfect accessory to any outfit. They can be created from scraps of a gown you own or in complimentary colors with either a monochromatic or two tone scheme. The Virginia Bonnet Pattern
The Virginia is a stove pipe poke bonnet from Timely Tresses that sits just above the hair line and is especially comfortable for smaller heads.When introduced around 1810, the bonnets had a short raised crown and modest brim that framed the face. As the decade progressed, brims grew deeper and more flared and the crown grew taller to accommodate elaborate hairstyles. This pattern includes a 20 page illustrated instruction booklet and features 3 interchangeable brims for creating a 1810-1820 Regency/Federal era poke bonnet. Click on the picture to enlarge.

A puffed crown flared brim bonnet appeared in fashion plates between 1800-1810. The Julia features a buckram brim and a gathered or pleated crown.
